Soon Flash for 64bit browsers?
Thursday, May 11, 2006
Flash doesn't work with 64bit browsers (you know, I use Windows XP X64).
And I got an email from Adobe which basicly says they are not even planning to make a 64bit version anytime soon, so according to their FAQ:
"Macromedia Flash Player is not supported for playback in a 64-bit browser.
However, Flash Player will install and run in a 32-bit browser running on a 64-bit operating system."
But it looks like the wait will be over soon! Because there is a open source project called Gnash.

what planet are Adobe on? Every new ssytem coems with Vista 64bit. Its needed to address any memory at or above 4gig, which is basically an entry level system now.
@Radar Detectors Australia:
Probably for the same reason Microsoft doesn't do a X64 driver for their FingerPrint Reader: Saving on manpower resources.
